Custom ChatGPT based training

The Fundraising Regulator
We delivered a bespoke, Chat GPT based training programme designed to help teams move to confident, practical use of generative AI. The goal was not simply to introduce AI tools, but to create a structured foundation that would enable the organisation to safely explore agentic workflows, pilot new use cases, and build internal confidence.
The training session focused on clear prompting techniques, repeatable frameworks, and responsible use aligned with sector-specific governance requirements. Staff from across the organisation participated in hands-on exercises and breakout discussions.
Feedback indicated the session provided a strong baseline, enabling teams with varied levels of experience to begin using AI for defined, low-risk tasks such as drafting headlines, improving wording, or structuring emails.
Following the training, the organisation rolled out the free version of ChatGPT across teams, supported by clear internal guidance on confidentiality and acceptable use.
An AI working group was established to gather staff feedback, monitor adoption, and identify potential opportunities for experimentation. The rollout also legitimised informal “shadow AI” practices already happening across teams, creating a more transparent and governed environment.
To move from experimentation to measurable impact, several structured pilot projects were introduced. Each pilot followed a documented project plan outlining scope, aims, prompts or agent workflows, timelines, and success criteria. Measurement focused on two core dimensions: perceived time saved and quality of outputs, with colleagues scoring results against organisational style and readability standards using a 1–5 scale.

Beyond technical experimentation, the programme embedded governance and sustainability. Internal AI policies and a public AI resource page were finalised to ensure staff had clear guidance on responsible use. A structured process was introduced allowing anyone in the organisation to propose new AI pilots, helping build momentum while maintaining oversight.

The training acted as a catalyst rather than a one-off intervention. It enabled the organisation to establish measurable pilot frameworks, define success criteria, and explore agentic AI responsibly.

Alex's ChatGPT prompting training was focused, practical and engaging, offering clear prompting tips, useful frameworks and the chance to experiment with real examples. Breakout discussions and hands-on exercises helped us test ideas, learn from colleagues, and build a confident baseline for using AI effectively across our organisation. Would recommend as a way to improve understanding of AI and its potential (and risks) in your teams.

The Flying Seagull Project
Intro to AI training

We delivered an introductory AI training session for volunteer coordinators at The Flying Seagull Project.
The session was designed to help them reduce admin workload and understand more about the features of different LLMs.

The session covered a clear introduction to generative AI and how the main tools differ, practical prompting fundamentals using real tasks from the team's own roles, and a collaborative, hands-on exercise where we designed and built a Custom GPT together — an AI assistant configured specifically for the needs of volunteer coordination at The Flying Seagull Project.

Rather than leaving with a general understanding of AI, the team left with a working tool they could use the next day.

I found the training comprehensive and feel I understand more about how to implement AI at my charity
