A clear, jargon-free picture of what generative AI actually is and how the main tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot — differ from each other. Participants explore the AI landscape through a short group discussion on what they're already trying.​

The foundation of getting consistently good results from any AI tool. We work through prompting skills and then participants practise live with real tasks from their own roles, building a basic prompt and an advanced version side by side. ​

Advanced Outputs
Moving beyond the basics. We cover iterative prompting, chain-of-thought, few-shot and roleplay prompting — each demonstrated with sector-specific examples. Participants take a real piece of their own work and rebuild it using the techniques just taught, comparing before and after outputs with the group.

How to build repeatable AI workflows the whole team can follow. Prompt templates, tone-of-voice prompting, document uploading, and a live demo of building a Custom GPT configured for your organisation. Participants leave with a reusable template they can share with their team the next day.

A look at where AI is heading, including agentic AI and what it means for charity operations. Groups map out how an AI agent could handle a real scenario from their own organisation. We then cover how to advocate for AI internally — to trustees, sceptical colleagues and senior leadership — before every participant completes a personal action plan: one tool to adopt, one workflow to build, one thing to stop doing manually, each with a date attached.
